Bloggers share their favourite blogging quotes and mottos for inspiration

Blogging can be tough sometimes. In an online world where we are opening ourselves up to constant criticism we didn’t ask for, trolls and unwanted advice, it can be quite draining and negative sometimes. Plus there’s so much advice out there, you might be confused with how to blog or what to blog about. It might all seem a little overwhelming. But I say, to hell with this! Blogging should be positive. More positivity please!
Let’s build each other up, not break each other down.
Let’s ignore all the unwanted advice and follow our own dreams.
Let’s do what we want to do because we have the freedom to and it makes us happy.
Bloggers share their favourite blogging quotes and mottos for inspiration
Are you feeling bogged down by the blogging world and need some inspiration to keep you going? Or perhaps you’ve had loads of feedback and it’s not quite what you expected? Maybe you’re trying to fit into a certain niche that you’re just not happy with and you need some motivation to do what you want to do?
Mottos can help with so many aspects of blogging.
I’m here today to share the blogging mottos you need to live (or blog) by!
Here are my mottos to start you off:
• Be inspired, but do not copy
• Admire others, but never compare
• Blog about what YOU want to
There are so many guides saying to blog for others, but it might not make you happy! I think you need to blog for yourself. Blog about subjects you enjoy writing about and then you’ll find it so easy and natural to write for hours on end. You’ll never be bored of your subject matter.
Do not copy! This is a big no-no. Yes, be inspired and yes write a similar post in your own words with your own viewpoint, but never copy and paste. It’s fine to be inspired by someone. I feel like we are all inspired by something and every post has another origin in a way. I’m not even sure if there is 100% an original idea nowadays. Just know it’s fine to be inspired. That’s OK. It’s not copying unless you actually copy and paste word for word, and where would the enjoyment be in that?
Comparison is the thief of joy. That is one of my favourite sayings. It’s a way of criticising ourselves and trying to be like someone else. Just don’t do it. Be you. Be unique. Admire others, yes, but don’t strive to be them. Take inspiration from them, but stay true to yourself.
