September 2017: a sneak peek at my blog income and stats
Posted on
If you’re returning, scroll down to see the income report and stats. If you’re new, read on to see why I share my income and how much I really work on my blog!
‘If you’re wondering how much money I make from blogging, read on. I share all with you in my monthly blog income reports. These are a great resource for me to look back on and also for anyone who is interested in what I earn from blogging or what can be made.
It’s not to show off, but to show how much money can be made online from a blog. It’s important to note this is my full time income. I left my employed job and I work on my blog all the time. Like, ALL the time. It’s my passion and my focus. I have no personal social media or any distractions. I also have no social life, or very little! I devote all my spare time to my blog and website. It’s my obsession.
If I am on my phone or laptop, I am always doing something blog related. I put in 30-40 hours a week at the moment whenever I can. I sacrifice evenings with my husband to work on my website. He is now used to me not listening to him as I’m so engrossed in my laptop or phone! Once both my children are at school then I’ll work out a better work routine if my blog is still making enough money. I hope to then work in the day only and have my evenings and weekends back, if possible!’

A great month – my second highest this year. At the start of the month I always panic it’s going to be quiet, but by about half way through I usually see earnings are going to be OK and relax a little. I really hate that start of a new month every month! The panic always sets in.
I charge for everything I do on my blog in collaboration with another company. I value my time and the effort I’ve put into my blog and social channels for five years. I think it’s cheeky when large companies want access to this for free. If I accepted all the free work I was offered each day I wouldn’t make an income and I wouldn’t spend my free time with my family!
I wrote for another blog for the first time this month. It’s the first time I’ve written something for a brand for their own blog. I have completed guest posts for bloggers before, but these are still in my own true voice. I found it a bit trickier writing for a brand as I didn’t have total control of the article. I definitely prefer writing for my own blog more as I like to have the freedom to write what I like how I like.
Referrals were down a little this month, but I’m glad they are around £100 still. It’s a nice bonus at the start of the month and it gives me a head start on my money aims.

The rest of this year’s stats:
(The dashes just mean I hadn’t started recording these results each month)
My stats are down from August which is crazy. I thought August would be quiet and September would pick up again! All my social medias are steadily increasing which is great to see. If only my stats would do the same! I’m still happy with them all though so that’s the main thing.
October Blogging Target
I’ve given myself an overall target of £1500 for September, but this is from all my home money making schemes: matched betting, blogging, mystery shopping and online selling. Blogging usually gives the biggest part of my income and I focus on it the most.
I actually made over £2600 in September from all home money ventures which you can read by clicking here!
